A New Kind of Label…

The Clinic Records has been in business since 2006, but the idea for The Clinic Records has been around since Donnie and Danny met in Las Vegas the summer before their freshman year in high school (back when MTV played music videos and cellphones were the size of bricks). In the past four years, The Clinic Records has been privileged to manage and promote and tour with a handful of very talented singers, songwriters, and musicians. And as we prepare to “re-launch” The Clinic Records in 2011, we’re focusing on a few lessons we’ve learned along the way:

●  Musicians make a label successful

●  Songwriting and musicianship are more important than the latest tools

●  To make a living at making music you must approach it as a career not a hobby

●  A supportive record label that helps aspiring musicians get organized and stay focused is key

To be successful making a living making music takes a great deal of dedication, passion, hard work, talent, and a belief that you are pursuing not just a dream but a calling. And it certainly helps to have The Clinic Records on your side to take care of the business side of music. It doesn’t make sense for musicians to spend hundreds of hours a year filling out paperwork, developing websites and mobile applications, and adopting every online tool and social network that comes along.

The Clinic Records helps you get organized and reduces your need to focus on all those distractions so you can focus on what is really important — your music.
